House rules

Respect your neighbours: You may be lucky to be on vacations, but most of our neighbors work, so we ask you to keep quiet from 23h until 8h. No parties allowed at anytime.

Smoke free zone: Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment, if you need to, please go out in the balcony.

Elevator

We have an old elevator that's like a blast from the past. It's still in good condition, but you need to be careful when using it.
Some of our neighbors depend on it to leave their homes.

So, please make sure to close both the inside and outside doors tightly.
We'd really appreciate your help with that

Dishwasher

Put the soap tablet on the soap door and close it. Select the program, fast is what we use and recommend. Push start to go.

Washing machine

Soap: Add a soap tablet inside, together with your clothes. If you have liquid or powder, put it in the drawer in your left hand side and the softener in the middle.

Program: Select the mix program 57 min.

Central heating 

Just set the right temperature and wait wait for the radiators to warm up. It may take around 15 minutes.  

Between 18-20 ºC ( 64-68 ºF) should feel comfortable.
Make sure all windows are closed when heating or AC is on.  

AC

Turn it off if windows are open. Use it with responsibility. If you open the AC or heating with windows open, energy runs away as hell and electricity bill goes up. Let's keep the planet as well.  

Gas cooker 

Find the knob that corresponds the fire you want to use. (Look at the pictures o top of each knob).

Get a lighter from the drawer below.

Turn left the knob and use a lighter to turn it on.

Oven

Adjust the temperature (180º should be good). Set the timer. Select the oven (bottom) or au gratin (top).

Recycling

When: anytime

Where: All containers are all around the corner.

Yellow: Light packaging like cans, tetrabrick and all kind of plastics.

Blue: Paper and cardboard.   

Green: Glass bottels.

Brown: Organic food like fruits and vegetables.  

Grey: Everything else goes to that one.

Turistic tax.

The Generalitat de Catalunya and Barcelona City Council asked us to collect the tourist tax. The tax consists of 2 parts as follows:

Catalan governemnt:  (So called: l’impost sobre les estades en establiments turístics) Wich applies for all travellers over 16 years old up to 7 days. 

Barcelona City Council: (So called: Recàrrec municipal de l’impost turístic)
